Visit Seattle: Fueling A City's Story

VISIT SEATTLE

A CONTENT CHANNEL THAT FUELS A CITY'S STORY

In the amount of time spent on VISITSEATTLE.tv in the past 2 years,
you could have watched every piece of content on Netflix over 20 times.

With an audience whose real thrill lies in anything that’s intellectually stimulating – from film and movies to destinations themselves, we have foregone the traditional Destination Marketing Organization approach of ‘advertising a city’s activities’ - focusing on sharing our story rather than selling the city.

This channel, with over 30MM viewers and 62 million minutes of watch time,
has demonstrated the power of entertainment-based content that pulls people into Seattle.

Turning Tables

This weekly half-hour show aired on REVOLT TV pairs the creative juices of one of Seattle’s best chefs with one of the city’s most notable artists to create remarkable dining experiences.

SEATTLE

First Takes:

Season 3

In Season 3 of this series, we invited first-time visitors from 5 different countries to experience the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures that only Seattle can offer.

PROJECT 5x5

Named one of Ad Age’s Best Content Partnerships of 2017, this program was simple but unique: ask five highly regarded filmmakers to visit Seattle and create a short film that brought their unique perspective on the city – inspired by one of the five senses. Then, launch and screen that series through IRL events that put Seattle in their hands, literally.

Through this partnership with SundanceTV, we tapped into both their history of creating intellectually stimulating content our audience craved and their affiliation with key events that sit at the center of pop culture.

open Studio

Unlike other urban areas, Seattle is a city that lives and breathes nature, which is also part of why it’s one of the most creative and imaginative cities in the world. Here, visitors can enjoy the city’s hidden natural treasures and discover why they unlock inspiration for some of the city’s beloved musicians. This socially-driven series premiered first with National Geographic.

Family Style

For new Americans, food is one of the deepest connections to history and homeland. More than preserving a link to the past, it’s about creating a future and it’s up to the next generation to continue the legacy. In collaboration with Vice, this celebrates the stories of five immigrant chefs shaping Seattle’s esteemed culinary scene.

Uncharted:

SEattle

Throughout its history, Seattle has always been a force in cultural development across food, music, business, the arts and much, much more. It is a city that fosters people’s motivation to change the future of its culture for good. This video and podcast series celebrates the city’s passionate creators who aren’t setting out to create trends but are changing the landscape nevertheless; making Seattle a city to watch along their way.
